used tanks are rare around here just because hardly anyone around here has large tanks, a guy about an hour from here is selling his fishroom, tanks are 1$ a gallon, a couple 120gals and a bunch of 50,33,29,20,and 10s, most have never held water, thinking about buying a 120 and 3 or 4 50's, 50's to use as sumps on current tanks, do you think $1 a gallon is a good deal? all tanks come with glass tops and visatherm heaters.

I would say $1 a gallon is a great deal. In my area used tanks seem to be $1 a gallon up to 20 gallons then the price seems to increase to $1.50 per gallon up to 50 gallons then the price seems to be $2 a gallon for anything above 50 gallons. I've been pricing up tanks for a few months now.

But I'd say if you can get a larger tank for $1 a gallon, go for it!

he also has a linear piston air pump and a 400 gallon water storage tank, and a bunch of co2 and o2 tanks and regulators and co2 reactors, having to sell it all because of a move. might just ride up there and see what all he has.

It sounds like you might be able to get a bunch of stuff cheap. Good luck!
