Hi everyone,
I was away on vacation this past week and I returned to find and extrimely unpleasant surprise.
This is what I had in one of my 55 gallon tanks:
3 baby bala sharks,
1 rapheal catfish,
2 opaline gourami,
6 congo tetras,
and a beautiful 2" cherry flower horn who was really peaceful, for a FH.

This is what I have now :(
1 rapheal catfish,
1 congo tetra.

I've been thinking about changing up the tank for a while, and this is probably the best time, sadly. All of you people on MFK know what your talking about and have some amazing fish, so I'd love it if you could give me some ideas with aquascaping and stocking the tank.

Thanks!

i don't see anything that could turn predatory in your stocklist. could be water chemistry to be blamed.

Yep. They thought it would be a good idea to turn the heater up to 95F. FAIL.
I have other tanks that can hold these remaining fish. Should I try some small fish or start a reef? Any other Ideas on what to do with a 40 gallon tank?

man i'm no expert in salt water fishes, but i think, for me at least, i have an easier time keeping larger fishes than those small ones. you might wanna try some cichlids, it's like keeping salt water fishes but only fresh water because of their beautiful colors.
