Moving to the Dark[er] Side:

This is my 30L set-up. Its on a sump set-up I will eventually add 2 more types of filter media. I am running a zoomed 10k intense blue light atm. I have a coralife uv sterlizer turbo twist 3x (was running a 6x but it leaks so it needs new o-ring fittings). I have a eshopps protien skimmer. I have 40lbs of live sand carib-sea 1 - 1 1/2 inches on the bottom. instant ocean salt and a heater. Will be adding live rock soonish. I think thats it for now. I plan to do a nano-reef set up with soft corals and fish/inverts.

Anywho here some pics. (the tank is cloudy cuse sand got blown to oblivion when I was trying to adjust my sump output flow.)

(yes there is a bit of water in the skimmer its out now, that was when I was still trying to adjust it).

As for the overflow box it came with the sump and I bought it used.. I ve had it for years it was on a 55gal fresh tank I got the full set up for $150 lonnng time ago. I just took the sump off the 55gal cleaned it out and put it on the 30gal. I have a power head, I was kinda of think of getting bendable pieces to connect to the output on the sump and see if I cant direct a current/flow off that instead but I'll see. Slow process in the works.

when I get the live rock I will have it in the tank as well as in the sump. I plan to get fiji and tonga.
