In the Spring we're planning on building a 10 x 12 screened in deck. So I came up w/ the bright idea of possibly adding a 4 x 6 pond to house my RTC in. Only problem is the temp.. changes in winter. Temps can dip to below freezing. Is it possible to keep water temps in the lower 70s w/ multiple higher watt heaters running and it also covered when not feeding, etc.?

Be aware, tht it's not always this cold but it did hit -30 this year but tht's w/ wind chill, I was thinking it wld be a little bit warmer in a screened in deck, but idk.

Suggestions welcome :)

Also, feel free to mock me  or help me :grinno:

Thanks

if you're in iowa, as it says on your profile, i know it gets very cold there, with plenty of snow. i don't see how you could possibly have a pond on your deck and maintain a steady temp of 70, or so.
