I have a school of serpea tetras in my 100g. They do not come to the surface to feed.
They perfer grabbing bits hanging mid tank. So what is a good food for them, something that sinks, but slowly.
I have some tiny sinking pellet feed, that will float, or if you kinda toss it at the surface it will sink, but they are small and fall so fast they dont get much of it. Corys are loving it though.
Sometimes i can splash regular flakes a bit and they will sink.
I do not know if this is the fish, or if they dont like the one gourami i have in there, who will feed from the surface. they do not act like they are afraid of him.
Food can float on surface about 30 minutes before it all hits the surface skimmer, but they will never come get it.
