New Oscar Laying At Bottom Of Tank
I recently added an oscar into my tank. He is about 2 inches long at the moment.
He seems to spend a lot of his time laying on the bottom of the tank, or in a corner behind bogwood. Then every so often he swims around the tank for a while before going back to his corner.
He is eating and looks to be healthy. So, is this normal behaviour for an oscar, or is something up? He has been in the tank around 24hrs now.

normal. He'll come around. Just dont overfeed trying to get him to come out.
Feed, scoop out uneaten food. repeat.
He'll be a crazy tail wagging freak in no time-So I've been thinking about our past, and how I chummed the waters of our friendship with fish guts of dishonesty.
-And I've been thinking about how the shark of my loyalty gorged on the deceitful entrails of your bloody lies.
-So we both saw that shark special last night?

Oscars are sulkers, just how they are. Some do it and some never sulk at all. Its best to start giving him frequent water changes now so that he gets used to it. What else do u have in the tank that could be messing with him? Any decor to hide in?

as long as he's eating, don't sweat it. he's going to adjust.
125, 75 & 55 Gallon Tanks. I'd like more, but there is no more room . . .

Ah, thanks all - that is great to know!
I just turned the lights on the tank, and he is happily swimming around at the moment.
