I was wondering are there any freshwater rays that could fit in a 40gal tank comfortably? Also if none will what can I get that grows slows so I can can keep it in the 40 for a while and than upgrade when I have to space. Also what are good tank mates that also grows slow or can stay in the 40 please let me know

I'm no ray expert, but did at one stage consider getting one although later realized that the bare minimum for most adult rays is a tank that is 3ft wide, and about 5ft+ long... so in other words, i don't think your going to get a ray that will fit in the 40G for long... Just my 0.2 cents...

A pup may fit comfortably in a 40 gallon, by itself for maybe a month. Look into getting hillstream loaches or something, rays wont work.

Ugg this is why I hate (most) lfs'. And why I joined this site.
If you want a bottom dweller, mabie some hillstream loaches (I think someone already said that) or a nice small pleco (NOT common plec).
Do you have any tankmates in mind?

Complete bs...don't listen to them, they have no idea what a teacup even is...
they only label them teacup ray cuz they cant properly ID the ray. example: "mystery snails" lol.
