Hello ! I am Thinking about getting a Fahaka Puffer Fish does anybody have any advice for me ? Can I put any other fish with them ? Can I get more than one ?
They are very aggressive fish and should be kept singly. They can max out at about 16.9'' TL. Temp should be around 75-79F. I think they can be kept in full freshwater, but I'm not quite sure about that. I'm sure someone will chime in and tell you.
They're a freshwater puffer with the potential to grow up to 18 inches. They would require 120g minimum. They need a diet of hard shelled food such as mollusk and crustaceans to keep their teeth worn down. They're aggressive and don't really accept tankmates including each other.
people say not to. However I always see youtube video's of fahaka's with other fish in the tank usually small community fish. Maybe their feeders but the puffers dont seem interested. I wouldn't suggest keeping anything valuable with them that is for sure
