Hi guys,

Can help me decide on either 6.5ft x 4.5ft x 2.5ft FGT or 12ft x 3ft x 2.5ft FGT for keeping about 5 to 8 pieces of mid size rays ?

Thanks. Please give some comment.

although I haven't keep any rays YET I would say the wider foot print would be best

thanks bro for your comment... however I was thinking if the length is small, it works like a square. To keep more is pointless.

personally i would go the long route because you can always put in dividers if some males start accting up....

if u can make the 12 foot one 4 foot wide that would get my vote all day long . But i would say width is more inportent . But like turkey said if u get any probs u can divide the long one better . Both tanks u have picked are good for rays so realy its down to u which u pick

I would go with the longer tank .not only can it be easily divided.the rays can get further away if harrased(out of sight out of mind). Also its 675 gallons compared to 548 gallons on the wider one.127 extra gallons!

how i wish to extend the width of the 12footer.... cant due to lack of space... I am trying to give my best biggerst space for my rays..

I was still wondering if 3ft width is enough for adults rays as once i have decided to purchase the 12 footer i wont be able to change already.
