i want to get more fish in my tank, was thinking about a motoro ray. i have 1 7" inch florida gar, 1 7-8" silver aro, 1 3", 5", 8" inches bichirs, 1 4-5" inch flagtail, and 1 8-9" inch lima shovelnose catfish. i wanna get about a 4-5" inch ray, could i keep him in my 240 gallon 8'x2'x2' tank for a long time? how fast will he grow and would he become agressive to my bichirs or fish later?

You should be fine with the aro & gar, but not sure about the bichirs, and flagtail.. I've kept a few flagtails but always had to get rid of them once they took a liking to my rays slimecoat..
Depending on what kind of ray you get a 240 will last awhile if you get the ray small, but def not for life for most rays..
