So I have raised a bunch of dovii from fry and ended up with a pair (well at least a male and female that have successfully co-lived together) for about a year. I have never seen the female lay eggs... I would love to breed them but I don't know why she is practicing abstinence....
Water's good, both small (male 8 inches max and female 6 inches max) currently in a 125 breeder, any thoughts?
BTW I have two more male and female Dovii I'm growing in a 75, they're around 2.5 - 3 inches max currently mixed with some similar sized jags. How do I coerce them to pair? I would prefer a dovii pair but wouldn't mind an interspecie pair. I was thinking I could maybe grow the two females for my prized male, but he is significantly larger than them, would that be an issue?
