Thought I would throw this out there in case no one knew about the site. The guy gets good reviews and sells it as a price cheaper then you can get it anywhere else. The price even includes the shipping costs.

That price is pretty good, but probably dosen't meet my size requirments I need sand that is teeny tiny haha, something along the lines of 60-100 microns with most of it being around 60-50 microns. I'm thinking I'm going to have to special order mine from a company that produces calcium carbonate for the chemical industry.

You could probably pick up pure calcium carbonate at home depot.

Well see the problem is that stuff you by comercialy as calcium carbonate is too small usaly between 1-10 microns, so its hard to find a happy medium. lol.

Yes its for a proper DSB, so I need a specific size so the little sand critters are happy haha.

Not going to be a problem with the use of a massive scrubber and calc reactor/doseing I will be doing water changes rarely and the tank plan being 6' deep it will be hard to disturb the sand.

The thought of your brown sand is making me a little nauseous. :D

Just kidding buddy. I hope you dont have a failed DSB in a tank that size. I cant imagine the job that would be. Ha ha
