Hello everyone, my live rock has some kind of green algae growing on it. Is this good, bad, or does it not matter? Is there a way to prevent it? Is it caused by too much lighting or what causes it?

Normally caused by the presence of phosphates and nitros, along with lighting. I wouldnt call it bad if you dont mind it, but if you dont do anything to control it, algae will be everywhere in no time. Best way to control it is by depriving it of its nutrients, which starts by using ro/di water, then you can use an ATS if you still have trouble.

I should also note that poor tank circulation will allow it to spread as well.
