i bred my 6 pound tropical gar

Its been awhile since i looked at the site.\
i had some problems with some of the monsters

But this past weekend i had succes in breeding my tropical gar.
today allready some fish were swimming freely.

I hope to post some videos by this weekend.
i filmed parts off the spawing eggs in my tank and right after hatching
i posted pictures before but not video
i'll have to find out how.

My gues is i have over 20.000 fingerlings
tomorrow i start feeding as they dont eat until the swim
Y feed them live artemia the first few day, then add frozen adult artemia and them trout food mix with artemia.
to finally in 30 day have thenm eat only trout food. NOT live food

That is awsome! I havent heard much of breeding gars, what kind of setup are they in? Id imagine a large pond??? Congrats!

do you run a farm? if not awesome!! mind sharing some details?

gar size, age, number of gar etc. did you sex them or just mix? you have them in a pond right? mind sharing the dimentions?

also, any other conditions that helped in breeding?
