what kind of alage?
are you looking to do it with-out chemicals? )i recomend without chemicals)
I would use chemical but may kill my inverts.....
i recomend no chemicals, is your alage brown, or red.......
do you do weekly waterchanges
Sadly no, I do large monthly water changes
i would strongly recomend weekly 10% waterchanges if possible this will help greatly
do you use RO-DI water (some people dont some people do) (i highly recomend it)
i would recomend an RO/DI ststem or buying from your local petstore. i know alot of people here use tap water. but if you go to a reefer site they will recomed RO/DI water as do i.
they have items for like $30 that will shut the system off if it dects water so no need to worry about a flood. dont let that hold you back from buying a unit
do you have powerheads? (whats size tank whats your total GPH)
I have a 72 bow front, I have one power head facing the opposite of the fluval fx5 out heads....
Canaster filter, are you useing for a refugium or does it have filter media? if filtermedia do you clean very frequently? if not that will trap crud and cause problems. Do you run a skimmer?
how many GPH is the powerhead (GHP)
and how many GPH does the canaster output?
what kind of lighting? (if MH is the bulb old)
I use marine glo bulb and fluorescent bulb, maybe about 5-6 months....
i dont know much about fluroesent bulbs.... when do they recomend changing?
