First off I have a Finnex 500w titanium heater/w digital controller and have been using it for about 6 months in the pond no problem. Today I leaned against the edge and ended up putting the tip of 1 finger in the water and received a very mild(less than 9v battery) shock. By proccess of elimination I found out it's my heater. Now I looked it over and no noticeable damage. Is there anything I can do to maybe fix it? If not can anyone suggest a good efficient heater.

I already unplugged it but it really didn't seam to bother the fish sense most of them sat by it once and awhile anyway. Lol...nothing gets to big cats....except hunger

That heater is supposed to have a grounded plug...If that's the case and your house has grounded outlets, then something else is delivering the shock.

I also don't think it would be shocking your fish. The circuit has to be completed for current to flow.
