Urgent!
Just recently picked up a 75 or so acrylic tank. Tested with water a few times before set up. I didn't notice untill I had fully set up and decided to stick heater on back instead of the side. Suction cups wouldn't stick. Looked down the back of the tank and saw it had a signifigant bow to it. Is this some thing I need to worry about?? Obviously can't afford for it to break, both financially and i live on second floor apartment.
Also is there any remedy or fix that will prevent it! Help!

all tanks bow and acrylic gives a bit more then glass, but to figure out if its dangerous you'll have to define "significant bow"

The tank is 20" tall and 48" long. It is almost dead center of the back only. At the worst it is out no more then an inch, which makes me woory(espescially after seing that huge tank bust in the store). I put a 12" filert tube that is perfectly straight down the middle, if there is anything else I could tell you let me know. Hpefully this pics help lol, kinda upside down and sideways.

that is 100% normal. My 90 gallon Tenecor bows like that in the back and a little less in the front due to the curved sides. My 300 acrylic is made from a better acrylic and bows very little but its a better grade acrylic. A girl i know has a 300 as well and it bows a 1". your tank will be fine. your noticing the back more because its black im assumeing. look at the front and you will see a bow as well. its acrylic stronger then glass. your ok.

I hesitantly agree with idle, a little bowing is normal... but after seeing that youtube video of the 1500 tank exploding, I have nightmares. ;)

In all seriousness, you're probably 100% fine. Well, 99.9% fine. :)

Take a half gallon jug of water and dump it on your floor. Now imagine that, only 150x more. Many will tell you that acrylic bowing is normal, but you will need to decide if you can live with it.
