    thanks guys, still debating on getting it though. cause of tank reasons and there's only one place around me that takes trade in. which i would have to trade it in rather fast. since i only have a 55 and can't upgrade due to my parents...living with them still kinda sucks but o well it's cheaper lol.

    Another gar (?) ID thread

    A friend found and bought this as a spotted gar.
    I doupt if is it...too long nose..strange body color...what do u think?

    While it definitely does have a pretty long snout for a gar its size, I believe that it is a Florida gar, but a picture from the top will help to better ID it.

    A lot of juvenile gars sort of 'grow into' their snout, making its length less impressive as they grow. Even shortnose babies can look like they've got a long snout when so small.
