Below all medication that can safely be used on freshwater stingrays are listed. We advise to only use medication on stingrays if realy necessary. Medication is always a risk and should be used at your own risk



Medication against bacterial infections on freshwater stingrays:

some of these meds are quite dangerous if not used correctly for the correct problem.
If you don't know EXACTLY what you are doing probably it is best to stay away from self-prescribing and first seek advice on this forum

If you read my recent post, you will find that my rays previously had the fungus, bacteria infection, bite wound, open wound, ammonia, heater, salt burns... the whole nine yards with infection. I used Binox and salt to treat them along with 15 % daily WC. Today is the 3rd day and the infection, wounds are gone. All of them are eating and seem to growing back from the infections. I use a little less than the recommended amount. I used 5 teaspoons of Binox (dose of 125G) for my 180 G pond and they worked wonder. So i suggest everyone to use about 50-60% of the suggested dose for all of these med. along with WC. GL

Valid question, yep. I think the original post especially the external parasites category should be more specific otherwise, some will end up using the wrong meds for particular parasites/bacteria.

Sticking this though.
