Hi All,
So the Cuban gars (Atractosteus tristoechus, CBG) are all in the experimental tanks for the first official study at GarLab I (aka The Tank - we have held the preliminary stages of a couple experiments here already, but this will be the first to take place entirely within the bounds of this venue - the fish are just too valuable to keep at the other labs, and there are too many variables to deal with at other locations).
All fish were measured and a few were photographed for reference (it's a challenge to get weight/length/photographs of small gars all by yourself!). I will try to keep this thread updated with photos, etc. See below for a shot of a typical size CBG (approx 18cm/7") as well as the setup. I threw in a few bonus pics including a quick shot of Gar-Den II.--
