Should I use a UV Sterilizer on my Ray tank?

Thats great to hear because I tried to put a replacement bulb in my Turbo Twist and broke the quartz sleeve and there are little pieces of glass stuck in the housing.

If you have one use it. It will cut down on simple forms of algae growth and kill any parisites that may happen to get introduced to your tank.
Their are no down falls to using one...

When to use a UV sterilizer...

EBJD....or any fish that you know are prone to diseases, like frys too.

I agree with pete. No downfalls? I would say that there is. In a normal world\river\water\aquaria people\fish build resistance to sertain stuff, most of the stuff actually. If there is none, i am a prone beliver of the fact that we would be really fragile to any parasite. I gues people will argue me about it, but thats what i belive.

I have them, they are cheap, heat the water and do no harm. I think of them as a cheap insurance policy. Not necessary but a nice to have.
