Stinger Question???

How long does it take the stinger to turn white after its fallen off?
I have a female Motoro that was going to shed one, and I went out of town for the weekend... well she lost it while I was gone.
I have black sand in the tank and cant seem to locate it.

Most of the ones I find are in my sandless tanks, but always have trouble finding them in my sanded tanks. This one is a large one, so Id like to find it fast..

Any one know how long they take to turn white after they come off...

ya, some of mine dont turn white... so that makes it really hard for me. but usually I find them at some point. Its just hard to find them as soon as they come off in this tank since the sand is black.

Found it. Its not totally white yet, but found it.
