I recently started building my tank a few weeks ago. This is my first plywood tank build so i did a lot of research before starting. I had a 10 gallon fish tank and decided to upgrade from there lol. My first issue was trying to find a good deal for an acrylic glass. Once I found my glass i went about drawing the diagram. My dimensions are

8 feet long 4 feet wide and 5 feet high. With 1.5 inch acrylic thickness

Since the height was pretty high I designed my tank to have a lot of bracing around the acrylic so it could handle the pressure. There is 5 inch bracing around the tank. So the viewable window will be 4 ft 2 in high.
This is how far i got so far. What do you guys think....

Canada eh!
Suscribed :)

What are you going to do for lighting?

I would love a large tank too. Something like 10x6x6 but everyone says it's too high.

Oh... and how much did that acrylic glass cost if you don't mind me asking? :)
