ID Ghana Brycinus spp.?

I saw these fish on a local fishing forum,
http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=67865&forum_id=34&jump_to=932737#p932737, caught by a guy living in Ghana and he was kind enough to let me post them here.

He thinks it's some species of Brycinus. I've never seen a fish like this before, but they're quite beautiful fish with the big scales and slight orange/red caudal fin. It looks alot like pink-tailed chalceus (Chalceus macrolepidotus) although I think they grow alot smaller.

So any idea what these may be?
