it is not ridiculous, small gar in big tank can led to broken back, even death gar! They can build up speed in a tank that big then bang their head into the glass, they can't do that in small tanks!Lol,i had a guy at an lfs tell me the same thing,how rediculous

try put a betta in a 200G tank and you will see it starve to death! Some fish that too skittish or not active will not be able to find food in a large tank.To me yes,iv been told a fish wouldnt find his food in a big tank
