Any chance of sexing my Polleni´s ?
I have 2 Polleni´s. They are 3-4"
In the store the two of them had teamed up and were beating the crap out of the other Polleni in the tank.
Were getting bigger and stuck together so i was hoping it was a pair.
I have had them now for 5 weeks. One is a little bigger and is dominant.
Any way to see of i have a male + female or two males?
The bigger one:

and the smaller one:

Not the best photos, were just trying the get a clear profile pic of them.
Another one, just for fun, taken 2 days after i got them:

I know nothing of this species but knowing cichlids in general if both are big enough to breed I would say that the top one is a male and the bottom one a female.

Adult male fish are much larger than females and develop longer extensions on the dorsal and anal fins. They also tend to have a more rounded head shape. per www.seriouslyfish.com
