aragonite sand?

i've been keeping saltwater for years and just now starting to venture into freshwater stingrays, i was wondering what types of sand can i use with them..would aragonite sand be ok? i've heard from one person that its bad for stingrays

Welcome to MFK!!!

Do NOT use aragonite sand with FW rays. The aragonite will do the same to freshwater as it does to salt...buffer and harden the water. Rays require soft (and some VERY soft) acidic conditions.
