Should I cut off the broken part or just leave it to heal on it's own? Worried ):

Don't cut. It will either heal on its own or fall off and grow back.

A lot of people swear by salt. I have never used it. My rtc broke one of its pectoral spines and torn the fin. With good water and regular feeding it fell off and grew back in a month or so. Not to worry, yours will be ok as well. Just keep an eye out for infection.

It always sucks when a prized fish gets injured.
