Nope...I got my 125G for $150, built my own wood stand and a $60 canister filter. Cost me $210 plus a days work building stand. I wouldnt pay that much for a 125! I have a 242 acrylic for sale for $450 which includes stand and lights.

It's a little high, but that's because it's new. They overprice the ***** out of new stands especially.
You can usually get a 125 setup used for around $350. Maybe more if it includes filters, decor, fish, etc.

In the NE for a new setup that is a good deal imo. Is that from Monster Fish or whatever in NJ?

It's a price quote from Monster Pets in Philly. They have a 180 gal glass combo for $849.99 as well.

How much for the tank alone? Glass Cages has it for $285 and I'm pretty sure Monster Pets will price match, but I don't know if they'll price match an internet price (even though I'l have to pick it up in White Plains, NY).

I think a 125g tank in Lancaster from www.thatfishplace.com is $340.00 tank only. Which is a store that's very well priced. That 180g's not a bad deal either.

Best deals I've seen are from craigslist.org and ebay.com. On ebay you need to just search for your area, since shipping is tremendous and most wont shipped from out of state. And for craigslist just type aquarium or fish tank in the state your living and Im sure theres gonna be a **** load of deals.

Goodluck.

wow, that's an amazing price! I got my entire 55gal setup brand new for $300! I don't see where you can buy large glass aquariums on Big Al's site. Can you paste a link?

That Fish Place sells their 125gal for $320 alone and add a stand of theirs and it is above the $549 price that includes hood and lights as well.

craigslist and ebay are always being searched by me, but it's hard to find a 125gal with the dimensions I want.

I've decided I'm going to wait until spring/summer to pick up one of the GlassCages.com 125gal tanks which are 72x24x17.... I made a mistake in my original post saying the 125gal I saw at the store was 72x18x17... it was 72x18x22. The GlassCages tanks are $285 and since my dad still lives in North Jersey, taking a drive upto White Plains one day to pick up a badass tank isn't so bad.

Thanks guys

I would like some help making my own stand though. Sounds easy and I like building things :)
