I am posting here because I think you guys would have more experience with my question then in cichlid section.

I have a 150g with a jardini, 4 bichirs, 2 bowfin, and 5 clown loaches. I kind of want to add a cichlid to add more color/personality to the tank if possible. The jar is about 10", and bichirs are around 8-10". Bowfin are only around 4-5".

Some of my hopeful choices would be a managuesne, frontosa, polleni. If this is a hopeless idea then oh well but just wondering what others think.

I also understand nothing will work if my jardini loses it eventually.

-yeah, most of that combination is already inadvisable...CL's are too slow-growing compared to the jar if the jar decides to go the way of a typical jar...bowfin will also outgrow them and could pick them off or die trying. adding cichlids is just lighting the fuse on the powder keg--
