As in gender? It appears to have the furry little filaments that males have on their rear "legs," so I'd say that it's a male.Any ideas of exactly what he is.

nice list of fish, but without knowing the tanksize, it looks exactly like my 20-22" sal. color pattern, thickness, legs. what size tank is it in? mine is in a 180gal. i was looking at that tank to be a 75gal.I have mostly piranha but also have the sal,a serial killer dat,dovii,Oscar,p-bass are farmed out at my bros, & had a 14" gatf till my dat decided no more roommates outta the blue. Sal is 26"+ not 20". You can tell he's considerably bigger than 20" just from pics.
