So its been a while coming as i have spent A LOT of time planning plus i have had the builders in to turn the 17ft wide by 16ft long garage into a room which meant taking the door out to bulid a walkl and put a window in. Even with all the planning and research i am still some way off geting this up and running. Best laid plans always throw up problems. Been a nightmare trying to decide what pumps to use what filtration and what plumbing etc etc etc. Could never have done it with out you guys though!! Like i said not there yet by a long shot but closer than i was 2 months ago. Plan on keeping 3 BD rays once all set up and running nice but for now will throw all my existing stock of Frontosa and Birchirs plus a Gar to get the sump nice and mature. Here some pics of the set up so far. Wiull post more over weekend once tank built and sump in place.2012-06-24-128.jpg

Forgot to ask are you building the tank from plywood acrylic glass? What's the plan for material use?

Concrete block supports and concrete lintels that hold up houses on a concrete floor so should be good.
A few days later and looking a mess to be honest.2012-07-08-136.jpg

That is a huge sump. My sump is a 125 gallon tank and works great. I will stay tuned for the building of this as I want to see a large glass build. I think your building the tank yourself which is great.
