    Cow nose rays

Is it possible to keep cow nose rays in an aquarium or pond? I think they are as cool as the blue dot stingrays. How big should the tank or pond be.

no luck, it's not in the sticky hopefully they put it up soon. You should contact zoodiver through pm or maybe he will chime in as he deals with rays all the time as well as sharks.

Yeah, cownose need a school. You're looking at a BIG set up. I'd say a 12' round MINIMUM for males, females a bit more due to the bigger size...and that's pushing it. A 3 1/2 to 4 foot wingspan is average for a full size adult. They are considered bentho-pelagic, which just means they swim most of the time, but can/will stop and rest on the bottom from time to time.

Look back through some of my old threads. We did a big cownose touch pool a couple of years ago. It was 20 ft by 40 ft... that will give you an idea.

^^ They are who supplied the cownose for the touch pool we did. I'm also going to be buying some from Karen again in the next week or two for my current display that's under renovation.
