rhode island of course
Since I love Caquetaia so much, I was thinking what better way of continuing my quest for more, than getting an Umbriferum, so I'm in the process of getting a few juvies.

Benfica540, sorry about the name mishap, but that isn't my tank, just so nobody starts a flame war.

I am not 100% but I think the proper scientific name is Caquetaia Umbriferus. Just one? Breeding pair?
Actually, I was looking for some clarification. I've seen a number of places which gave them the scientific name of Umbriferus and Umbriferum. Same goes for Caquetaia Spectabile. I've seen spectabile and spectabilis.

Just looked it up on FishBase, both Caquetaia umbrifera and Caquetaia umbriferum link to Caquetaia umbrifera so I would guess that is the proper name.

Valid as *Petenia umbrifera* (Meek & Hildebrand 1913) -- (Burgess 2000:56 [ref. 24818] as *umbriferum*, Miller 2005:373 [ref. 28615]). Valid as *Cichlasoma umbriferum* Meek & Hildebrand 1913 -- (Conkel 1993:132 [ref. 22949]). Valid as *Caquetaia umbrifera* (Meek & Hildebrant 1913) -- (Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:620 [ref. 27061]). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:26 [ref. 12367].

I'm in the process of building a tank for what I hope will turn out to be a male. He'll go in the 75 until then, separated from the other fish.

Either way even if its overstocked, nobody keeps their fish forever, he'll probably sell some or trade some, leave him alone.:)
