A few times, yes - not sure why, though. I now never open the lid, and keep it weighed down with a rock, and I pour food in through the gap where the filter is. (This also prevents anybody biting me!)

Had 2 alligators both around 30cm 1 jumped out of a crack in the back of am 180gl. So I threw the other 1 in my 8by5 pond thinking it might be a space issue but he e jumped out 2 weeks later.

Hmm interesting to know that they even jumped out of pond.. Maybe it saw food?
Did it live?

In the past I've had two floridas jump out. Both jumped out the same evening. Managed to save both, covered the tank better and haven't had an issue since.

been lucky so far usually it happens when they are chasing food or something scares them i try not to make any sudden movements when i am doing routine tank matienence so i dont spook them so far my longnose have been really calm compared to floridas
