Ok, before I start, I was wondering if someone could tell me how much gal my aquarium really is. My original dimensions was 500 gal, but I've changed it a little. I keep calling it a 500 gal, but it's not. My aquarium size now is 96Lx30Hx34.5W.
I just finished cutting out viewing panel hole last night. This morning I was able to finish putting together my stand. If I can pickup a respirator today, I'll start laying out my fiberglass glass.

What are the inside dimensions of the tank? Once you have those, multiply the length x width x height and divide by 231. If those are your inside dimensions, the tank will hold 430.12987 gallons.

Here pics of my aquarium build. Don't mind the messy background, between building this aquarium and working 10 hr days, I'm tired. My fish wont wait, so the show must go on

I'm using fiberglass weave and marine grade laminating resin. First layer with 24 oz mat, second layer with a finer 7.5 oz mat. I won't need a sealer and with the solid blue resin pigment I'll be putting into the second layer, I wont need to paint.

Ok, so just finished applying my first layer of fiberglass mat. I tried to use the 24 oz mat, but it's so thick and such a pain to work with that I'm going to use it to reinforce the seams only. I used the 7.5 oz instead and I think it's just right. I'm going to pickup a couple more bags tomorrow and another gallon of resin to do two more layers. Should be more than enough. I should be done with this part of my build by the end of this week. I'll be able to order my glass next week which will allow my fiberglass to cure for almost two weeks. I'm actually a little ahead of time.
