Hi guys - I give up on my search for decently priced dark red sand. I've decided to go with black. I don't have $100 to drop on the Petsmart kind, but I have heard a couple people recommend Black Diamond Sandblasting Sand.
Since its going into a tank with eartheaters, I need to be 110% positive that this stuff is smooth and not going to irritate/hurt their gills when they're sifting through it.

Anyone ever used this stuff with Eartheaters? Will it be okay for them?

I have heard a few stories that it has cut hands but possibly just rumors. I have a friend who uses it in a tank with mbuna cichlids no problems that I know of. I couldn't find it at home depot so I just got some play sand.

Its a Jersey Thing

Its abrasive sand, so its very sharp. Ive heared people say it damages their cories gills and barbels so i def wouldnt risk it with an eartheater
