Man I would have loved to have gotten my hands on one of those before last weekend so I could have put it in my buddies pond when I stocked the new Blue and Channel Cats. Would have made a nice surprise catch several years from now
    Credibility, I think so.

Haven't seen that one before! Nice!!! Hopefully I can get a tank up and running to suit his adult size before he gets too big. If not might have to go for option 2 (the grill)

I wish I lived just a little farther south so that I could set up a nice native catfish pond. Montana gets way too cold for most native catfish though. Channels are only present in the warmer regions of the state, bullheads, and stone cats are the only ones that are here. lol.

Sorry i've been busy the past week or so and hadn't had much time to post on here but as a reply to my last post: The platyneum is coming into my lfs from rehoboth aquatics(hopefully before I go to north carolina for the holidays) and I wish I still had that albino wels but my goonch ripped it to bits about a week after I got it from wes. Cliff i'm glad to see your finally getting a flathead. @ amazon, I was just at the aquarium about 2 weeks ago and they are doing major renovations to the big tank according to one of the staff it is expanding from 200 to 560,000 gallons!!!!! They have apparently lost a lot of stock and the only cats that I could see were the big rtc .

By LFS to you mean Fish Gallery? If so do they have more than one or just a special order you got?

With regards to the DWA that's awesome and that tank was definitely in need of renovation for the filtration at least for a while now. I've noticed the water staying greener and cloudier the last year or so than it was previously. Hopefully the Fasciatum still lives and was just hiding out in the back side of the tank somewhere. I really wish they would reconsider the stocking of that thing because it could really be improved with more diversity instead of a ton of RTC's and Arapaimas with not much else. That tank would be a thousand times better if they improved the current in various parts substantially (waterfalls or river style inlets into the main tank) and added Planiceps again like they used to have as well as Corruscans and a Piraiba or two. Large Peacock Bass in multiple species would make a great addition as well along with several shoals of Prochilodus in various species and more Payara. They had a decent sized Armatus in there last time that was maybe 15" but I bet that got smoked by one of the larger fish. Honestly if they went down to 1 RTC and 1 or 2 Arapaima they would be able to house some of the smaller cooler species without losing so many to predation and this would help a ton with their water quality issues not having as many monster eaters and more diversity in the lower portions of the food chain.
