oi when out yesterday and the bill was $124 something . and he tip him self like 15 bucks.. i dont think they should do that they should be happy with whatever they get

I agree that they should be happy with what they get, but....
I think that's around 12% which is pretty standard

You guys have a completely different approach to tipinh than in europe. I once had a waiter realy angry with me in Washingtom, because i undertipped. And it was more tha i would tip in europe, in any case.

In europe i find absolutely no need to tip. People get their wages regardless.

Here minimum wage for a waiter is under half of what it is for everybody else. My tip varies. From 15% to 0%. U suck, u dont get a tip.

At least 20% if the service is good, but my wife is in the service industry so I have a slightly different POV. Lousy service=0

Yeah it does. Wife and I spent a weekend in Mammoth that proves that. Around here 15% is average, +/- depending on quality of service

I think 15% is normal for my family, maybe like 12% if they were bad.
