Every now and then someone posts a photo of a good looking dat and then there seems to be a good bit of debate on the kind of tail markings a ST should have, big stripe next to a small stripe at the end.Could it be that the majority of these impressive looking widebars with questionable tail bars are all CT or VT?

I have seen some photos of widebars that look like almost the whole tail is covered by one thick bar.I really like that type.

This is the Olden time of IDing tigers

The CT tigers with the 3 bars on the tail were considered as lower quality version of CT

A true ST is what it should look like in diagram # 2, and in some old & big ST like T1ka ~ Richard's ST has this kind of tail pattern

I'm partial to the pattern in diagram number one but I have seen plenty of photos of fish with tail markings that don't look like either of those drawings...

Tail and second bar tells me its an IT.
Tail also indicates CT.

What makes a CT different from a 3 bar IT? If the "3rd" bar doesn't connect to the first stripe on the tail, then is it considered a IT?
