HRP's look nothing like the Convict. The Convict is blk/gry striped, an HRP is Blue with some black barring(not always) w/red fins. Google HRP and you will see exactly what an HRP looks like, and you will see that they look nothing like the Convict. They are even shaped differently.

hrps are convicts . the only real differnce is the region they come from and how they look. Amatitlania nigrofasciata and Amatitlania cf. siquia . also they are like midevils most people cross breed the two with out even knowing the difference
 
Amatitlania nigrofasciata and Amatitlania cf. siquia infers that they are different species... Convict refers to A. nigrofasciata specifically, A. cf. siquia refers to HRP specifically... in the future someone might come along and find that A. cf. siquia is actually just a variaty of A. nigrofasciata, but until then they're separate species.
