This is a very general question. Are more eels by nature solitary animals or do they like co existing with more of their own?

They will coexist when small but fight for territory later. I had two that were babies that lived together in the same hole in my 180 and after 2 year and 2.5' they fought and one went into te overflow and into the sump. Caught it put it back up top and it went right back. So now I have a big eel in my sump.

Moray Eels are solitary animals, but in captivity they're able to be mixed, but the depends on which specied, tank size, and such factors

You can keep multiple eels together...but they certainly don't need (or particularly want) each others company. Are you looking to mix any species or just multiples specimens of one species?

That's not a big, aggressive species, so it is compatible with other morays of similar size and demeanor. Personally, I mix species, as do many others.

so I ended putting a couple of Gymnothorax polyuranodon together. They bicker and bite at each other but don't see any wounds. This pretty normal?
