alot of corals move, they are living things. Your not going to tie them down. I had pulsing exenia that moved from bottom to top of my tank in 3 days because it wanted more flow. If you have a coral that is allready planted on a rock or peice of live rock. It is best to just try and place it so it wont fall or move. Tieing them down or glueing them is not a good idea. So if it moves off the peice itso n when you put it in tank and you have glued it in place you might kick yourself. Now if its a peice of hard coral or something you know isnt going anywhere you could try to do something liek this. But I try to place and just keep my hands out of the tank.

Yes and no - you can use coral frag epoxy and coral frag glue, either glue the plug or remove the frag from the plug and glue the foot. Rubber bands dissolve to quickly and share a similar problem with fish wire - the coral might grow around it creating weak or choke spots.
