No label, the owner wasn't their and the guy didn't know what it was he thought it was some hybrid but for $12 I will take a monster like that home anyday. He popped a hole in his bag and he was triple bagged lol. And ill just call it him :)

its a tilapia for sure. looks like a white version of the ones you see live at asian markets. it might wreck your tankmates keep an eye on it

I have been for the last hour and he seems fine but then again he's tankmates with a big gar, redtailed barracuda, huge goldfish, bream and their all monsters as well

Don't worry tilapia are extremely peaceful except for butti's. they make the perfect tankmate for many kinds of fish.

Tilapia are NOT!!!! peaceful. And no, it is not a white morph. It looks like a standard Nile Tilapia. Yours is a male. He will get bossy soon.

Agreed and it might be an Oreochromis or Sarotherodon.Both are types of tilapia.
