a 40 breeder would be way to small for frempongi or fascistus. My pair of Fasciatus are about 9". I have them in a 75g but looking for a 120.

Bjbass, the breeders are typically deeper than regular tanks. So if you were to put a 3d back ground into a 55g tank and the back ground was 3-4" thick, you would have much room for your fish to swim around in. 40 and 50g breeders are deeper.
Someone chime in if I am off here. Just my 2 cents.
