I've pretty much determined that the first egg was a bad egg, there really isn't any reason it should have died. Or at least, no reason that I know of.

So, I talked to the man I bought it from, and he said he'll order another one and give it to me free of charge in about a week.
This time, I'm going the extra mile to make sure I do it right. I'm calling this "Operation: Need'a Bigger Boat".
I've set up a 10 gallon tank with R/O I produced, a very thin layer of sand from an older tank, and a couple pounds of liverock from the sump of my reef tank.
I have an airstone in a PVC tube I made to create a small circular current in the tank, and a heater to hold the temp about roughly 76f.

Hopefully I won't have any issues this time.

Any input guys? I'm open to any suggestions

Currently there are two snails, two hermit crabs, and a small starfish in the shark tank. Either tomorrow or friday should be the day when I get to go pick up the egg, and I'll begin documenting from there.
