Somewhere out there is a gnome whose sole purpose is to make sure every single acrylic aquarium that has ever existed gets at least one scratch. It is just something that is going to happen.

If you look on Amazon you can find all kinds of products for 'acrylic scratch removal'. Something like this. There is also those floating magnet cleaners, though just make sure your are getting one that specifically says it is safe for acrylic tanks.

You can also find handle scrapers and scrubbers specifically for acrylic tanks. These are a must have. When you use any tools for cleaning an acrylic tank you have to make sure when you hit the gravel/sand with them to stop and make sure you have not picked any up. The gravel/sand will scratch the tank if caught in these. My daughter did this to my 300 with my magnetic scrapper. So I lowered the water level and carefully buffed the scratches away with the kits you can by.

I use microfiber towels on mine for the outside. Paper towels can scratch them...
