what to stock?

i have an empty tank dimensions are 72"x18"x18" and i dont know what to get for it i am looking for something largeish so something that can live in the tank for its life but will be a decent size any ideas??

I wouldnt normally say this, but with those dimensions, i think a cichlid community tank would be pretty cool...

if it's legal you could go catch some invasive pumpkinseeds or other sunfish. you'd get some cool fish and help your natives at the same time.

so its looking like alot of people are saying cichlids any other types i could keep maybe do some sort of large cichlid community??
