And I don't power feed either, I personally think its bad for them, he eats 2 or 3 small silver fish or prawns and krill or about 2-3 massivore pellets a day and sometimes I feed him a few algae wafers on top but only like once a week

I've had mine for about a month now and he's grown about 1" or so. I don't power feed but vary its diet each day. One it be bloodworms next trout worms next hilari carnivore pellets

Yeah I fed my old one sinking predator sticks, worms, occasionally he would eat my cichlids food. But, I guess it just depends on the genetics of the individual fish on how fast it will grow. 9" in a year is not that bad.

Idk how u got your hybrids to grow so slow when they are that small. Mine went from 3" to about 3' in 2yrs. So they do grow quick and will prob only last in your 220 maybe 8 months. But good excuse for a upgrade!!

Haha yeah. Hopefully it does grow as slow as my last one though that way I can save up.
