Better view. The rim of the sock is at the very top of my sump, and the water levels maybe 8 inches from the top of the black stock tank.

Those on the intake lines are filter media bags thought they might work.
So the water comes in, filters through the matrix then through the foam, into the refugium, drips onto the bio balls then past the heater and back into the tank. (water level is a little high in the picture) Some good ideas here, maybe I could hard pipe the returns in and make some sort of basket type thing for the socks.

Just switch to filter socks. Muuuch better mechanical filtration. Those nedia bags arent doing anything.
